MEMBER’S funds in the Fiji National Provident Fund (FNPF) are secure and it has the ability to deliver  assistance to members, says its chief executive Jaoji Koroi.

“We plead with members to refrain from making false statements about the Fund’s financial status because it will only create panic and irrational decisions,” he said.

“Let me make it clear, that members’ funds are secure and the Fund has the ability to deliver this assistance to members.”

Mr Koroi said there were two types of assistance available for members.

“There’s the $1,000 for members working in the tourism sector and $500 for those in the lock down zone, Lautoka.”
