Flood warning in place

Update: 9:55PM A FLOOD warning is now in force for the low lying areas, small streams and areas downstream of Ciri station of Tuva River.
The water level at Ciri station according to a special weather bulletin number 16 for flood issued from RSMC in Nadi at 9:50am this morning, downstream of Tuva River was 2.69m at 9:00am which is 0.19m above warning level and increasing.
The weatherman has also issued a flood for the low lying areas and small streams for Vanua Levu, Northern and Eastern parts of Viti Levu, areas downstream of Nasivi station to Tavua town and areas downstream of Vatukacevaceva station to Rakiraki town;
Meanwhile, an active trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain remains slow moving over Fiji.
It is expected to affect the group till later Thursday.
