Five men to front court to assaulting a police officer

FIVE men are expected to appear at the Suva Magistrates Court tomorrow for allegedly assaulting a police officer.

The five who have been charged with one count each of serious assault are alleged to have assaulted a police officer based in Suva during a carnival in Navua last Saturday sustaining injuries to his head and mouth.

The police officer is currently admitted at the CWM Hospital in stable condition.

The five suspects are aged between 18 and 25.
