A PARTNERSHIP signed between the Uprising Music Festival’s organising committee and Lifeline Fiji today is expected to boost the services of the Non-Governmental Organisation.

Speaking during the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding this morning the festival’s founder and co-executive Ellana Kalounisiga said the financial support they rendered to Lifeline Fiji would ensure that they improve their reach to those in need.

“Therefore we will be donating $2 from our festival tickets to the organisation to help them with their operations,” she said.

“This donation will increase over the next three years as we have signed a three year partnership with them this morning.”

Ms Kalounisiga has even challenged corporate organisations to support a volunteer employee at Lifeline Fiji adding the work they did was important.

While speaking at the launch of the partnership Lifeline Fiji board director Ilisoni Vuidreketi thanked the festival’s executives adding they were a lifeline to the organisation.

Mr Vuidreketi said they depended mainly on financial support from the private sector and Government.
