Fiji’s wonder boy Krishna to play his 100th match for Wellington Phoenix

FIJIAN wonder boy Roy Krishna is set to achieve another milestone in his football career tomorrow.

The 31-year-old national captain will play his 100th match for New Zealand-based Wellington Phoenix in the Hyundai A-League competition tomorrow.

Krishna joined the Phoenix in 2014 and since then has scored 33 goals in 99 matches so far, and in the process becoming the club’s top goal scorer in history.

The pride of Basbasiga who grew up at Siberia in Labasa has represented the national side 34 times and has scored 22 goals in those matches.

Krishna and the Wellington Phoenix play Adelaide Unites at 7.35pm tomorrow.
