In Fiji and abroad, a familiar name that comes to mind when you think of quality Indians sweets and snacks is Bhikhabhai.

Their sweets and snacks are top quality yet competitively priced. Bhikhabhai’s director and CEO Viraaj Kantilal Lad said they now had four shops based in Ba, Lautoka, Nadi and Suva.

He said their business had grown over the past nine years after they opened and retail shops in Nadi in 2009, Suva in 2013 their Lautoka which was recently opened in late April 2017 at Tappoo City and their Ba shop which had been around for over 85 years.

“We are a family owned business and Indian sweets and snacks is something that has come in our bloodline. Over four generations, a lot has been driven by passion to deliver the very best product using only natural ingredients with no artificial flavouring or preservatives,” Mr Lad said.

Apart from their staff he said they listened to their customers, follow proper research and also opened their shops at strategic locations where their customers could easily access their products and services.

“We consider ourselves successful when our customers are happy with our product and service. This means a lot to any cook at home or chef in a restaurant and as a manufacturer, the same applies to us.

“To deliver the desired product and service, we listen to our customers and stick to our core value of using only natural ingredients.”

Mr Lad said business had its ups and downs and despite the challenges they encountered they remained positive.

He said they were proud of the new shop layout and were thankful to their customers who gave them the enormous support and encouragement to open their Lautoka shop.
