Fiji’s HIV figure stands at 468

THE total number of people living with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) in Fiji now stands at 468.

This was revealed by Minister for Health and Medical Services Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete during a ministerial statement in Parliament yesterday on HIV and Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS).

Dr Waqainabete said there was a higher prevalence of HIV among females who were between the ages of 20-25.
