A GOOD start will be first order of business for the Fiji 7s coach Gareth Baber with the first leg of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series now only two weeks away.

“It’s always nice to have a good start, because it can set you up for the season,” Baber said.

Baber also said although a good start would be good it was not essential or would it define the rest of the series.

“We lost in Dubai last year and came back to win in Cape Town, and a few more after that.

“It is important though that we get our game right and that we are in the right mental space going into any game in any tournament and that we are capable of winning it.”

Meanwhile Jerry Tuwai was sidelined in yesterday’s training session in Albert Park in Suva with a boil on his knee, but the World Rugby Sevens player of the year was not ruled out of the first leg of the series.

“We don’t want anything getting septic with that so we are looking after him,” he said.
