FLYING Fijians head coach John McKee looks forward to having an early taste of one of their 2019 Rugby World Cup match venues when they play Japan during the Pacific Nations Cup at the Kamaishi Recovery Memorial Stadium in Iwate in Japan.

“We are really looking forward to that,” McKee said.

“It is a great opportunity for us during the PNC to travel to Japan, in particular, to play at one of our World Cup venues at Kamaishi.”

McKee said there was still a lot of groundwork to take care of before the PNC that begins in July especially when meeting Japan who beat the Springboks at the last RWC in England.

“We have got a lot of work to do between now and then.

“It will be a real big test opportunity especially against Japan, they will be really building up and will want to do really well especially when hosting the Rugby World Cup.”

The Brave Blossoms will play the Flying Fijians in Kamashi and Tonga in Hanazono, both of which are Rugby World Cup venues.

The Pacific Nations Cup kicks off on July 27.
