Vitalina Naikore is back and ready to do what she loves best – beating tacklers and scoring freakish tries.
The Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua winger was back in camp this week after completing a 10-week recruit course with the Fiji Correction Service.
The 22-year-old was a key member of the Fijiana Drua last season with her 10 tries – three in the final to help the side lift the 2022 Super W title.
After missing last week’s opening 2023 season match against the Brumbies last week, she will be looking to make the match-day 23 for tomorrow’s match against the Rebels.
She said while the FCS camp was tough, she did her best to get through.
“It was a very tough 10-week camp. A lot of drills and training that we did. It was challenging but I tried my best to finish it as I was looking forward to the Fijiana camp,” she said.
“I have been really looking forward to joining the team.
“I thank them for the win last week and we will try our best again this weekend. We are looking forward to the game this weekend. She called on fans to turn up in numbers at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva to cheer on the team.
“I’m calling out to all the fans out there to come and watch the Fijiana Drua — come and see how we play. We are also hoping to inspire some youngsters on the day.”
The match kicks off at 1.35pm.
