The Fiji Police Force is currently working with the Employment Ministry to investigate the alleged death of an Asian national at a construction site in McGregor Road, Suva.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said they are awaiting post-mortem examination results of the 36-year-old Asian national who allegedly fell off the fourth floor of the building while putting up scaffolding in the lift area.
“We have met with the foreign embassy involved,” she said.
“We will also work with the Ministry of Employment on the circumstances surrounding the death.”
Minister for Employment Parveen Bala referred all queries to Permanent Secretary Osea Cawaru.
Meanwhile, Mr Cawaru said there was a team from their OHS Department that was working with police to investigate the death of the Asian national.
