Fijian MP charged for allegedly assaulting wife

Police have charged a Fijian Member of Parliament with one count of assault causing actual bodily harm for allegedly assaulting his wife last Sunday.

Police said the alleged incident occurred in Davuilevu and the case was investigated by Nakasi Police.

The accused will be produced at the Nasinu Magistrates Court today.
