Fiji’s Ministry of Employment has authorised Pack Leader Pacific PTE Limited as a newly-registered employment recruitment agency.

Ministry permanent secretary Osea Cawaru issued the certificate of authorisation to the company that allowed the company to conduct any business of registering, recruiting and deployment of workers for overseas employment.

In a government statement, Mr Cawaru said the approval given to Pack Leader Limited was part of the Employment Relations (Employment Agencies) Regulations 2008 to ensure all employment agencies operating in Fiji and were sending potential workers overseas must follow the due process of registration and obtain an authorisation from the ministry.

“This registration process is to ensure that we protect our Fijian workers who will be employed overseas through the authorised agency,” the PS said.

Company general manager Luke Wyley acknowledged the government support towards the authorsation process in obtaining a license to recruit and enlist potential Fijians for employment opportunities in Australia.
