THE Fijian Drua has worked out defensive ploys to shut down Sydney’s offloading game pattern in the National Rugby Championship at Churchill Park in Lautoka this afternoon.

Sydney leads the offload statistics in the NRC with 34.

The visitors will be laced with several Waratahs Super Rugby players such as Rory O’Connor, Lachlan Swinton, Will Harrison, Lalakai Foketi, Cameron Clark and Mitch Short.

Fijian Drua coach Senirusi Seruvakula said they needed to make sure that they remained strong in defence with their one-on-one tackles.

“We need to tackle correctly and we have to play smart and keep our discipline. We are in seventh position in the competition but the NRC is wide open for us,” he said.
