Fiji women footballers aim to improve ranking at Pacific Games

FIJI Women’s Football team will seek to improve its ranking at this year’s Samoa Pacific Games which will begin in two weeks time.

The national side is ranked second behind Papua New Guinea.

Fiji is pooled with Tonga, New Caledonia and American Samoa.

Coach Marika Rodu said there were some things the team needed to work on before they left for Samoa.

“We need to work on our acceleration and working together as a team and we believe we should be ready come the Pacific Games,” Rodu said.
