THE Vodafone Fiji Under-20 put on a better performance in their second game during the Oceania U20 Rugby Championship despite going down to Australia 16-0 at the Bond Rugby University grounds in Queensland, Australia.

The Fiji defence forced the Junior Wallabies to only gain one converted try and three penalties throughout the match.

Both sides tussled for territory early with a lot of hard contacts and plenty spilt ball in the first 20 minutes for both sides.

Unbroken play saw the Fijian flair come to life at times with impressive breaks from blindside wing Osea Natoga and barnstorming runs down the middle of the park from inside centre Veresa Ramototabua, unfortunately failing to materialize into points.

Meanwhile, the Baby Blacks put on another commanding performance earlier thrashing Japan 85-12.

Fiji will play their last game against Japan on Saturday at 7pm at the Bond Rugby University grounds
