Fiji to launch Poppy Appeal today

FIJI will launch its national Poppy Appeal today.
The remembrance poppy is an artificial flower that has been used since 1921 to commemorate military personnel who have died in war, and represents a common or field poppy, Papaver rhoeas.
Fiji national appeal will be launched by acting Minister for Defence and National Security Jone Usamate at the Sukuna Park in Suva.
