SOME schools around the Suva, Nausori corridor were on cloud nine after a team from The Fiji Times visited their schools to donate dictionaries
as part of the 150th celebration this year.
Waiqanake District School head teacher Rajesh Lal said they are grateful for the kind donation.
“Thank you Fiji Times, this will really help the school especially our students,” said Mr Lal.
Toga District School headmaster Sailasa Niuqila said it is the first time they have received a kind of donation from The Fiji Times.
“We are thankful to The Fiji Times because this will help to improve their English language,” said Mr Niuqila.
Veiuto Primary School Year 8 teacher, Meredani Tukana said they were grateful.
“Compiling books is a very expensive exercise.
“Students are grateful to receive these books.
“As of last Friday, three-quarters of my class did not have a dictionary.
“So this is very timely for our students.
“It is time to boost all our children in education throughout the year,” said Ms Tukana.
