Fiji team thrashes Tonga at Oceania 7s

The Fiji 7s team thumped Tonga 47-7 in the Oceania Sevens tournament in New Zealand yesterday.

This was the national side’s second win in the tournament losing two games to Australia A and one to New Zealand so far.

Filipe Sauturaga, Ioane Teba and Pilipo Bukayaro scored two tries each while Iowane Raturaciri bagged a try to give Fiji the win.

Tonga’s lone try came from Lisiate Folau.

Meanwhile, the Fijiana 7s team suffered its fifth loss in the tournament going down to Australia Selection 33-14.

Fijiana registered points through Rusila Nagasau and Vani Buleki, but their efforts were not enough to topple Australia.
