Fiji shoots for more

FIJI Shooting Association (FSA), despite having very limited resources, is working on organising more competitions for its members.
This is to develop ways to promote the sport locally.
FSA armourer and games coordinator Quintyn Steven said they had been trying to organise more competitions for their members.
“This is to also get what we don’t have in Fiji as we don’t have international standard shooting facilities,” Steven said.
He said the development of the sport here had been slow because of the cost of equipment and carrying out of technical and logistical exercises.
“We hope to move it a lot faster as time progresses with getting government support and meeting international standards and try to give our members the opportunity to have a better chance of going overseas.”
