THE Fiji Rugby Union will compensate all the unions that face the same problems as the Nadroga Rugby Union.
However, they (FRU) have not given an exact date when the dues would be paid.
Yesterday, FRU chief executive officer Radrodro Tabualevu met with officials of all the unions and discussed ways to improve the relations between them.
He said there was a lot of healthy discussion and they had reached an agreement and the Skipper Cup semi-finals would continue as scheduled.
“We have set a timeline to meet the dues of the unions and we are expecting to start as early as next week,” Tabualevu said.
“The problem was an operational issue and since this is our first year under the new consortium of sponsors, problems such as these would arise but we are hoping to get everything sorted out.”
Meanwhile, Tabualevu confirmed that the B-Division winner will compete in the Farebrother Sullivan Trophy challenges.
He said it was a means of giving the B-Division winner more game time at the top level and exposed their players to elite competition.
Tabualevu also said the FRU annual general meeting would be held in Sigatoka on the day of the first Farebrother Sullivan Trophy challenge
He said one of the topics that would be discussed in the meeting would be re-formatting the Skipper Cup and the Secondary Schools competition.
