Fijian Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama is urging all parents and guardians of 15-17-year-old children to register for vaccinations so they can be protected against COVID-19.

Mr Bainimarama conveyed this message while he visited schools that had been set up around the country to operate as vaccination centres – including Lami Convent Primary School, Samabula Primary School, John Wesley College, Assemblies of God High School, Rishikul College and Bhawani Dayal Memorial College.

He also acknowledged the commitment and dedication of civil servants, medical officers and volunteers who had been manning the centres ensuring that operations operated smoothly at the various centres.

Parents and guardians wishing to register their children can do so through the Vaccine Registry portal on the Fijian Government and Ministry of Health Facebook pages or click https://vra.digitalfiji.gov.fj/MinorsRegistration/index

Registration requires the Birth Registration Number, Citizenship Certificate Number or Permit Number from both the parent or guardian and the child, entered alongside correlating dates of birth.
