Fiji PM reaffirms commitment to strengthen relations with Vietnam

FIJI’S Prime Minster Voreqe Bainimarama reaffirmed Fiji’s commitment to further strengthen relations with Vietnam to a new level as both countries explore new areas for cooperation.

Mr Bainimarama who had a bilateral meeting with Vietnam’s Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc at the United Nations headquarters discussed areas of cooperation with Mr Phuc that both countries could explore together, with the hope that through frequent political engagements like this, both countries will secure bilateral arrangements on areas of mutual interests for the benefit of both our peoples.

Mr Phuc thanked Mr Bainimarama for the opportunity to meet and discuss certain areas of development.

“I thank the Fijian Prime Minister for this opportunity to discuss further developments in some areas of interest,” he said.
