Fiji PM joins world leaders at Queen Elizabeth’s royal funeral

Fijian Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama mourned alongside world leaders and thousands of others at the Westminster Hall last night (Fiji time) as he paid his respect to the late Queen Elizabeth II on behalf of the Fijian people.

He later signed the official condolence book at Lancaster House conveying the prayers and well-wishes of all Fijians, who along with the rest of the world deeply mourned the Queen’s passing.

He also offered his sympathies and thanked Her Majesty for her remarkable service to the world.

He said the late Queen’s legacy in ensuring the Commonwealth was established on equal partnerships of countries and races would always be remembered.

Fiji’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Jitoko Tikolevu was part of Mr Bainimarama’s delegation.
