FIJI Pine Limited has refuted claims by a group of Nadroga landowners that they have not been paid lease security bonus monies.

Nabau village headman Taraiyasi Valaevu told Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama during a talanoa session in Nadroga on February 6 that they had yet to receive a 30 per cent lease security bonus promised by Fiji Pine Ltd in October last year.

In a statement to this newspaper, the company said it had paid the 30 per cent lease security bonus payment to the iTaukei Lands Trust Board for individual distribution on October 21, 2019.

Fiji Pine Ltd said this was to all landowners including the Tokatoka o Bitorewa of Nabau village.
