THE Fiji Pearls have won their first test series against Singapore 65-57.

They led 18-11 in the first quarter, drew 26 all in the second quarter and came firing back in the third quarter 47-42.

Five players made their international debut – Ema Mualuvu, Lydia Panapasar,  Kaitlyn Fisher, Aliti Toribau, and Grace Korovata.

Coach Vicki Wilson said it is wonderful to have the experience and skill of Unaisi Rauluni back in the team.

“She is a mobile shooter and has the ability for accurate long-range shots.  She uses great variety and skill in her attacking game,” Wilson said.

“All players are keen to test themselves in the international arena and are working on their individual goals, which are specific for the position they play in.”

Round two of the test series is tonight at 6:30pm at the Tampines Hub Hall in Singapore.
