Members of the Republic of Fiji Military Force personnel of Battalion 41, serving under the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) peacekeeping mission in Sinai were acknowledged for their dedication and sacrifice.

This after remaining 86 of the Battalion arrived home safely at Nadi International Airport earlier this week after serving for over a year.

Commander Joint Task Force Command Brigadier General (Brig-Gen) Manoa Gadai officially greeted and welcomed the troop at the Blackrock Peacekeeping and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Camp in Nadi.

Since the start of the operation in 1982, the RFMF has provided a contingent to the MFO, with an emphasis placed on providing security at South Camp and to the Civilian Observer Unit when conducting missions in Zones A, B, and C on the Sinai Peninsula.
