Fiji military ruggers thump Aussie counterparts

THE Fiji Military Force rugby side thumped its Australian counterparts 43-0 in Suva today.

Outside centre Epi Cokanasiga and wing Aminiasi Tuimaba scored two tries each, while Peniasi Vatuorooro added another for a comfortable 33-nil lead at halftime.

Replacement lock Ratu Meli Derenalagi and prop Apisai Vatubuli scored a try each in the second spell for the win.

The match was a curtain raiser to the National Rugby Championship encounter between Fiji Airways Drua and NSW Country Eagles.

The NRC match kicks off at 3pm.
