Fiji Met cancels heavy rain warning

THE Fiji Meteorological Service (FMS) has cancelled a heavy rain warning that was previously in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands.

A trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain is situated to the north of the Fiji Group and continues to affect the country.

Occasional rain and a few thunderstorms are expected, with isolated heavy falls likely over the Eastern Division, interior of Viti Levu, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands.
