Fiji football dispute committee decides fate of nine players

THE Fiji Football Association disputes committee met in Ba today to decide the fate of nine players who have applied to join other districts in the current player transfer window.

Ba, Labasa, Rewa, Lautoka, Suva and Nadi are involved with these players and a final decision is expected to be reached.

Fiji FA competitions manager Amitesh Pal said they were following the procedure and an outcome could be expected after the meeting.

“This is the normal procedure. If two districts do not come to an agreement, the disputes committee will decide on the players,” Pal said.

The players who will be part of today’s dispute are as follows:

Samuela Nabenia, Ba-Lautoka
Anish Khem, Labasa-Rewa
Laisenia Naiko, Ba-Suva
Sekaraia Naisua, Suva- Ba
Savenaca Nakalevu, Suva- Ba
Antonio Tuivuna, Labasa-Suva
Siotama Kubu, Rewa-Labasa
Napolioni Qasevakatini, Nadi -Suva
Sairusi Nalaubau, Rewa-Lautoka

The player transfer window closes today.

All applications are to be handed in by 1pm at the Fiji FA office in Vatuwaqa.

All players cleared will be able to play for their new districts from next week’s Courts Inter District Championship.

The IDC will be played from October 5-10 at Suva’s ANZ Stadium.
