Defending Digicel Fiji FACT champion Suva will have to be at their best in order to retain their title, after being drawn in the “pool of death” alongside Lautoka, Ba and Navua in Group A for this year’s tournament.

Digicel Fiji Premier League leaders, Rewa FC have been drawn with Labasa, Nadi and Tailevu Naitasiri in Group B.

The pool draws for the 2023 Digicel Fiji FACT took place yesterday at the Digicel outlet in Martintar, Nadi in the presence of Fiji FA executives and representatives from Nadi, Lautoka and Navua.

Following the draw, Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel said all the top eight teams had earned their place in the tournament and football fans should expect some quality football on display.

“The total prize for the winner is $17,000 and for the runner-up will be $5000,” he said.

Patel said both semi-finalists would walk away with $2000 each.

According to Fiji Football, World Max and Fiji FA have again joined hands to live stream major Fiji Football tournaments.

The 2023 Digicel Fiji Fact will be played from June 9-13 and the semi-finals and final on June 17 and 18 at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
