The Fiji Football Association is hopeful that football will once again be played in the country soon.

Fiji FA Competitions Manager Amitesh Pal has confirmed nearly 90% of the Digicel Premier League League players and officials are fully vaccinated against the Coronavirus.

He added that 100% of players and officials of the Digicel Premier League, Digicel Senior League, Women’s Super League and the Futsal League have now received at least one dose of the the vaccine.

Pal said the figures have been sent to the Ministry of Health and Medical Services and Fiji FA is now awaiting clearance from them.

“Till we get clearance, we are advising players to continue with personal training and from October 4, they can involve themselves in non contact training,” he said.
