Digicel Fiji chief executive officer Farid Mohammed commended Fiji Football Association for successfully completing its Digicel-sponsored Futsal competition.
He made the comment while speaking during the presentation night for the Digicel Futsal League Southern Zone champion Suva side.
“When we came into this sponsorship deal at a very challenging time, we had few rounds of competition and we went into the COVID-19 situation,” Farid said.
“But luckily we are here today (Friday) and successfully completed few of the selected competitions and I must say that all ended well.”
He said it was a good first year of partnership with Fiji FA in terms of competitions.
“It was also interesting that this year Digicel was privilege to be part of the women’s super league which was introduced this year.
“This makes Fiji one of the first countries in the Oceania region to have played the women’s competition at such a high level.
“I would like to congratulate Fiji FA for having an all-inclusive program in the area of football.” Farid said Digicel was committed to its sponsorship with Fiji FA.
“We are committed with our sponsorship and partnership with Fiji FA and we are excited and looking forward to competitions lined up in the new year.
“We look forward for a great second year and congratulations to all the winning teams in their respective competitions.”
