Fiji continues efforts to promote sustainable agriculture

Update: 4:06PM FIJI will continue its efforts in progressing towards promoting sustainable agriculture development and achieving the Sustainable Development Goal 2 (SDG) on ending hunger and all forms of malnutrition and SDG 1 on reducing poverty.

Minister for Agriculture Inia Seruiratu made this comment while speaking to delegates attending the 34th session of Food and Agriculture (FAO) of the United Nations Asia Pacific Regional Conference at Sofitel Resort on Denarau Island today.

Mr Seruiratu said this was a fundamental condition for achieving sustainable development for all.

He added this was the first time in more than two decades that a country in the Pacific had hosted an APRC meet.

Meanwhile, the FAO Asia Pacific Regional Conference ends tomorrow.
