Fiji Ports Corporation Ltd and Unit Trust of Fiji were the big winners of the 2023 Fiji Business Excellence Awards (FBEA), walking away with the coveted President’s Award.
The companies were recognised for their commitment to quality services and standards at the annual gala event held at the Sofitel Resort and Spa in Nadi over the weekend.
FPCL Board CEO Vajira Piyasena said the award paid tribute to the potential and dedication of the Fijian business community along with the unwavering commitment and diligence of their team.
“Fiji Ports Corporation has advanced significantly along this path of excellence having started our pursuit of business excellence journey in 2012,” said Mr Piyasena.
“The steadfast dedication of our staff, the confidence of our stakeholders and the support of our customers would not have made this accomplishment possible.”
FPCL also won the first FBEA Green Sustainability Award. The second winner of the 2023 FBEA Presidents Award was Unit Trust of Fiji.
CEO Vilash Chand said the win was a testament to their commitment to excellence.
“We are indeed grateful for the recognition which we have received so far in terms of business excellence,” said Mr Chand.
“We had faced several challenges in our business excellence journey, however, each one of us present here today can only strengthen the organisation to provide the best possible result and drive a common goal which is to be the leading investment fund in Fiji aligned to industry best practices.”
