The Fiji Bulikula’s side is looking forward to its second Pacific Test Series after a successful outing in its first tournament in 2019.

After training for only five days, the Fijian girls stunned Pacific giants Papua New Guinea 28-nil in its first encounter.

PNG women’s had been playing the sport for seven years heading into that Test.

Bulikula’s captain Jospehine Maejiirs said her squad was pretty excited about the Test against Samoa next month.

“Pretty excited with the list of girls that would be named for this Pacific Test.

“We did achieve good results after a short preparation time last time around and we expect to do better this time around,” the Australian-based flyer said.

The team is expected to consist of quite a few Fijian players playing in the NRLW competition.

“We have a lot of good talents playing in the NRLW.

“They are competing in the best league with some of the best teams playing in the NRLW.” She said the Bulikula would be using this competition as a build up for the Rugby League World Cup Qualifiers next year.
