MORE than 20 bodybuilders are expected to contest the Suva Classics competition title that will be held this Saturday, September 29, at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Nasese, Suva.
This year’s Suva Classics Competition is distinct from the previous years because it also serves as the qualifier for the South Pacific Bodybuilding and Fitness (SPBBF) championship, which will be held in Fiji late October.
Bodybuilding Fiji treasurer Ronal Rishay said it was an important championship because of the many athletes vying for a place in the SPBBF championship.
“This year will be different all together as it’s not only just a championship tournament but also a qualifier for the SPBBF,” said Rishay.
“We will see a good number of turnouts this weekend from bodybuilders in the country who will be contesting for a spot in the SPBBF.”
The championship will be held in the Britannia Ballroom at the Grand Pacific hotel at 5pm.
