THE 43rd Fiji Bitter Marist Sevens tournament medical team aims to provide the best medical assistance for the players with its 88-member staff covering the entire premises at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

The event director for medics, Bill Mar, said their priority was the safety of the tournament and he believed his team had the calibre of providing the best medical assistance at the two-day tournament.

“Safety is our concern and we have the Fiji National University medical students with us and the teachers assisting in the medical field, and we’ve been part of this tournament for more than five years,” Mar said.

Ten certified doctors and nurses will be on standby for any medical events required at the grounds.
