FIJI Airways scored big at the Skytrax World Airline Awards in Paris this year.

The national carrier scooped the Best Airline staff Australia Pacific, claimed 20th spot in the Best Cabin Crew award and also claimed fourth place in the Most Improved Airline award behind Philippine Airlines, British Airways and Malaysian Airlines.

And the icing on the cake, says Fiji Airways managing director and CEO Andre Viljoen, was receiving 4-star certification.

“To get 4-stars is one of the most sought after rankings an airline can get,” Mr Viljoen said.

“Airlines in the 4-star category are British Airways, Emirates, Qantas and Air New Zealand.

“We improved service offering, training, service standards and even had a major culture change in the company and achieved the results you see today.

“We are in the big league and this is a very proud moment for our little airline and for Fiji.”
