Fiji Airways looks to expand routes to New Caledonia

Listen to this article:

THE national airline is looking to expand its routes to New Caledonia, Wallis and Futuna as well as exploring opportunities with Tonga, Samoa and Tuvalu.

Fiji Airways regional general manager for Fiji and the Pacific islands Josefa Wivou made this known at the Fiji–New Caledonia Business Forum in Suva today.

“We have a good working relationship with New Caledonia and very recently a very close relationship with Wallis and Futuna,” Mr Wivou said.

“Wallis and Futuna have been knocking on Fiji Airways for quite some time now in terms of how we can venture out in that part of the Pacific Islands.”

He said they were looking into establishing a code-share partnership with Aircalin, also known as Air Calédonie International.
