More than 6800 Year 13 students in Fiji passed the Year 13 National Examination passed.

The Ministry of Education announced this on the Government’s official social media Facebook page this afternoon.

It stated a total of 7751 Year 13 students sat for the national exam around the country, and an 88 per cent pass rate was recorded.

The ministry stated in 2021, there was a 70 per cent pass rate, and noted the significant disruptions that year attributed to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The results are still provisional and could be subject to change, the ministry says.

Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro acknowledged all students, teachers and parents for their hard work.

He urged students continuing their educational journey in tertiary institutes to stay focused, perform to the best of their ability, and achieve their academic goals.
