The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) says it will provide its own report on the state of former Opposition MP Adi Litia Qionibaravi’s health.

FICAC commissioner Rashmi Aslam said this when the matter was called in the Anti-Corruption Division of the High Court in Suva, before High Court judge Justice Thushara Kumarage yesterday.

The court had earlier ordered a report on the former Social Democratic Liberal Party MP’s health from the medical superintendent of the Colonial War Memorial (CWM) Hospital.

On Wednesday that report was handed to the FICAC commissioner when the matter was called, and the court granted the commission time to peruse the report.

Mr Aslam said the report provided to the court by the superintendent of the CWM Hospital did not mention whether Adi Litia was well enough to attend court.

He said it did not reveal anything about the true state of Adi Litia’s health.

He also said the commission would provide its own comprehensive report through the CWM Hospital and the Ministry of Health, to the court on Adi Litia’s health.

The matter will be called again on November 22.
