FICAC granted time to locate former Sun Insurance CEO

FIJI Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) lawyer Sam Savumiramira has been granted their request of three months time to locate former CEO of Sun Insurance Lolesh Sharma.
Mr Sharma has been charged with attempt to undue influence and his case was called in the Suva Magistrates Court this morning.
Mr Savumiramira informed the court that the Fiji Immigration Department had confirmed that Mr Sharma had left the country.
It is alleged that Mr Sharma attempted to hinder or interfere with the free exercise or performance of the political right of the employees of Sun Insurance Limited that is relevant to the 2018 general elections.
The alleged incident occurred on October 4 last year.
Magistrate Waleen George has adjourned the matter to December 10 for mention.
