FHTA charity funds to assist in construction of orphanage home

Listen to this article:

FUNDS raised at the Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association (FHTA) Charity Golf Day were handed over to the St Christopher’s Home for Children today.

FHTA chief executive officer Fantasha Lockington said the funds would go towards the construction of a new home for young male orphans who are currently required to leave the orphanage in Suva and move to the orphanage for older boys in Ba from the age of 12.

Ms Lockington says the association identifies groups and organisations that need assistance and they had found out that St Christopher’s Home needed help.

Once completed the new home will cater for 12 boys above 12 years old.
