The FijiFirst party can “drown themselves in the past” and talk more about the 1987 coup, said NFP leader Professor Biman Prasad at a talanoa session in Sigatoka on Wednesday. He said the current Government has “lost direction”.

“They are lost far behind,” said Professor Prasad.

“They can continue to talk about 1987, they can continue to talk about who is what and who did what. They can drown themselves in that past.

“We represent the future.

“They have lost the way. There is no way they are going to win this election.”

He said the NFP and The People’s Alliance party were on strong footing.

“What we offer is for the people to come together. That is the type of government that we are going to run.

“I have signed this partnership with The People’s Alliance party because we are looking at the future.

“We will have a government that will be inclusive, listen to the people, accept criticism, which will not be vindictive.

“We will listen to everyone and we will not say this is what we have done and you take it.” |
