The registrar of political parties Mohammed Saneem has received an application for registration by yet another proposed political party — the New Generation Party.
In a statement, the Fijian Elections Office said Mr Saneem was now processing the application.
“In accordance with the Political Parties (Registration, Conduct, Funding & Disclosures) Act, the registrar will now process the application,” the statement said.
The total number of registered parties in Fiji currently stands at eight.
