FDB working on two news projects

THE Fiji Development Bank (FDB) is working on two major projects which could improve the standard of living for those in the country.

According chief executive officer for the FDB Mark Clough, these projects are an electric bus initiative for the Suva area and an agricultural renewable energy project on Ovalau.

He revealed this during the submissions to the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs on the Fiji Development Bank 2018 annual report on Wednesday.

“The electric bus is a pilot project for Suva so the stage is set at the moment, we are engaged with the entire relevant government stake holders who were in the process of putting together a concept note which we needed to submit to the Green Climate Fund,” he said.

“The concept note has to outline the funding mechanisms as well as the outcomes we expect from the bus.
