FIJI Cancer Society’s (FCS) first public event for Pinktober dubbed the ‘Pink Walk’ was held at the My Suva Park at Nasese today.

The event started at 6am as people braved the bad weather and made their way from the park to the China Club and back.

According to FCS, this was an exercise to create awareness in the community, especially in the private and public sectors.

“It is also to encourage people to adopt a healthy lifestyle by eating and living healthy,” the FCS said.
