NEWLY-appointed CEO of the Fiji Cooperative Dairy Company Ltd (FCDCL), Kushmendra Prasad says the company is developing a business plan in line with the government’s objectives.

Mr Prasad said from 2018 FCDCL had managed to operate productively, utilising available resources without the need to acquire new assets.

“There has been an 11 per cent decrease in operational costs which we passed back to farmers as reduced fees,” Mr Prasad said.

He said the company planned to further reduce its expenses, especially in the areas of maintenance and administration.

Mr Prasad’s appointment was announced by the FCDCL board effective from November 29 – a tenure he will hold for the next three years.

Board chairman Simon Cole said Mr Prasad had performed to the highest level over the past year and he had earned his position.
