A 62-year-old man accused of raping his daughter has pleaded guilty to the charges against him.
The accused appeared before Judge Justice Salesi Temo today charged with four counts of rape and two counts of sexual assault.
It is alleged that the man between October 1, 2018 and November 9, 2018 in Lami, had carnal knowledge and unlawfully and indecently assaulted his 15-year-old daughter.
State lawyer, Unaisi Tamanikaiyaroi informed court that State had forwarded proposed agreed facts to the defence.
Ms Tamanikaiyaroi said if the accused would be granted bail, there was a likelihood of the accused residing in the same location as the complainant.
The defence had asked the State whether they would be relying on the caution interview statement so they could finalize and file their responses.
The man has been further remanded.
The matter now will be called on September 6.
